CareXS/Connected Health Solutions is ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certified

Connected Health Solutions, the organisation behind CareXS, has been ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certified since July 2020. This means that the organisation meets the applicable information security requirements. An independent organisation reached this conclusion after various audits, and awarded Connected Health Solutions with the ISO and NEN certificates. ’An external company stating that our system is more than ok, is something we are rather proud of’, says Arjan Poppen, Operational Manager at Connected Health Solutions, ‘especially since the protection of confidential information is an important spearhead in the development of our solutions’.
A conversation on information security and risks
At CareXS, we have always been fully aware of the fact that we are processing patient data. From the get-go, one of the basic principles in the development process has been privacy and information security. Therefore, our information security was well under control. For example, developers at CareXS were already up to speed with the latest security trends and with the reviewing process of the quality of codes. ‘The certification process enhanced our staff’s information security awareness and they have been discussing the issue to great length’, explains Roderik Kelder, Information Security Officer. ’As a result, we created feedback loops – very important.’ Effectively, this means that processes have been set up in such a way that they continuously reflect on the choices made in the context of information security. Risk assessments are performed at various stages in the development process of our digital solutions. ‘To test ourselves, we bring in external expertise to ensure that the formal rules of play for software design and safe programming are considered in the software architecture and the impact (coding)’, adds Front-End Architect Adil Ben Moussa.

‘The certification tells users that we have the appropriate procedures and measures in place that ensure that your data is safe and secure with CareXS. We are convinced of the necessity of confidentiality in everything that we do’, says Cliff Bos, founder of Connected Health Solutions/CareXS. ‘And these certificates tell our users that we apply the standards for information security correctly.’
